The Webster Central School District is located eight miles outside of the city of Rochester, N.Y. Bordered by Lake Ontario and Irondequoit Bay, Webster Schools serve a primarily residential, suburban community. It includes all of Webster, approximately one-third of Penfield, and smaller portions of Ontario and Walworth. The Webster Central School District is the third largest school district in Monroe County.
Student enrollment is approximately 9,000 students. District policy is set by a seven-member Board of Education. The day to day operation of the district is led by Adele Bovard, Superintendent of Schools. Seven elementary schools provide instruction for students in grades kindergarten through grade 5; two middle schools serve students in grades 6 through 8; two high schools serve students in grade 9 through 12. The Webster Central School District partners with four area preschools to provide preschool programming. The district’s Community Programs and Services coordinates community education programs, facilitates special events, and manages facility schedules and rentals.
